Our First Doctors Appointment
Heather and I had our first baby related doctors appointment yesterday (Thursday February 17th).
Heather’s parents came down to take us to the appointment, they have 3 grandchildren already, but they are acting as though this is the first! It is very encouraging to see the capacity for love that the human heart possesses. It is very humbling as well.
Heather has gained 3 pounds in the last two weeks which is a miracle in and of itself since she has a difficult time putting on weight. The results of the tests performed were all favorable and Mother and Child are healthy.

That’s great Chris. Glad everything checked out ok. The visits will get more and more exciting as the months progress, I promise you that. The first ultrasound is going to blow your mind. Well it did me anyway. Here is to the future visits and may they all be filled with good news as this one was. Take care my friend and best wishes to mother and child.

Have you decided if there will be a video documentary on the baby Davis from conception through birth? Well maybe leave out the conception and birth footage. But you got to admit, nothing like freaking out your child’s first date by showing how they came into the world.
How are you going to pass the message on to baby? Yell really loud at Heather’s stomach?
Well wishes to both of you. Please share the photo with your well wishers. Though some labling may be requried to discern the baby from a speck on the photo.

Hey Bill,
I am planning on sharing the photo/video of the first ultrasound with the world when we have it.
That doesn’t happen for another couple of weeks. And oh yeah I am going to yell at Heather’s stomach to pass the message along.
As for the documentary that would be interesting wouldn’t it?

congratulations. have you heard the heart beat yet? the first time i heard my firsts’ heart beat it blew me away. i’m sure i scared the doctor as nuts as i went.

One thing we did, when we got to the ultrasound stage, is scan the pics and have them printed like digital photos. We sent copies to all the grandparents and aunts and uncles. They loved having pictures to show off to everyone.
