Apparently Amazon.com is still trafficing in products from the near future.  Earlier this afternoon there was an ad for a PowerMac G5 Dual 2.7 gig desktop tower.  Interesting since that product hasn't been announced by Apple as of this publishing.

Oh Glorious day!

I just noticed that, along with all the other cool features and bugs squashed in Safari 1.3 Hyatt finally got min-height working!

That now means that this site and my forums now look all shiny in all the browsers I care about!  I'm sorry if you don't have any clue as to why this should be so exciting, but I can't tell you how frustrating it is to design a layout, like this one and have it break in your favorite browser if your article length is too short.

As of now, it doesn't matter anymore!  Thank you David Hyatt!

For some reason that is beyond me

People have asked for large versions of some of my images to use as desktop pictures.

So here you go you crazy, crazy people.  As requests are made for desktops I will update this page, so if you see one of my pics here, or on flickr and would like to have it as a desktop just email me or leave me a comment.

Temporary Solutions

As you can see I am running the always shiny Rin from Khaled.

I am not sure what is up with my site, but I have tracked it down to possibly a runaway plugin.  Fresh and Clean is heavily dependent on plugins, so until I have this sorted I needed a nice, attractive theme that didn't rely on plugins.

Enter Rin.  I hope to have the time to sort this tomorrow, so please leave me comments on this article if you still experience wonkiness with the site under a pluginless Rin.

Increasing the Flash Gordon Noise

Yes, I know there are some "strange" things going on around Sillyness currently.

I have been having more and more problems of late with my 1.5 install, so I decided to upgrade to the newest nightly to hopefully fix some of them.  Unfortunately all kinds of bad happened when I upgraded.

I am working on resolving the issues, but just as a heads-up of sorts, you might need to click on a link twice to actually get it to work, don't ask I still have no idea.  And for whatever reason my archives page has decided to act as though it isn't there anymore.  I am suspecting some mod_rewrite sillyness is afoot, but I am not positive.

Oh and today is my last day at my current employer.  I have 3 days with which to relax and then I take up arms and head the fight for Truth, Justice and Web Standards at Asbury College as Webmaster.

So that's it, let me get back to throwing some more science stuff around the place...

Gotta role with the changes

This past weekend, and the beginning of this week we moved my home office and started work on the Nursery.

Things are really starting to be real for me with the pregnancy.  Heather is starting to show and we are beginning to rearrange our lives, even our home to welcome this little life into our world.  Every day I get a little more excited.
