New Book: Conversations

So I have finally gotten around to producing the book I had blogged about before, you know the one that is a conversation between two versions of myself across the gulf of time. I am getting pretty excited about it now that I am working on it, but I am having trouble coming up with a good way to present the material.

The lowdown

I have a love hate relationship with the Beast, Photoshop. It is abolutely essential for my work and it is the source of a lion share of my frustrations.

I have tried the other offerings and they just don't do what I want, which is a very targeted sub-set of Photoshops funcionality.

A King is Born

Yes friends, today is that glorious day where we take a moment and remember a small man who's life showed us a better way.

I am of course speaking of the King, Elvis Aaron Presley. 73 years ago today in East Tupelo Tennessee the world received its first great icon of Music.

Elvis is still one of the most influential, and best selling musicians of all time. His career encompasses 33 movies, inductions into 4 different halls of fame and 150 albums, singles and extended-plays that have gone gold, platinum or multi-platinum.

So join me one and all in singing a rousing chorus of "My Way" and remember to eat your fried peanut butter and bannana sandwiches.

 

Just a little tip

If you find yourself dealing with this Firefox bug, and are using the visibility property in your CSS, then stop it! If you move to using display instead you can avoid the bug.

For those not following, there is a bug in Firefox that prevents cursors and scroll bars from being painted when you have a div hidden on your page that overlaps another div that contains input items. So in my case I had a hidden drop down admin menu that overlapped a div that contained a form.
