Yes friends, today is that glorious day where we take a moment and remember a small man who’s life showed us a better way.
I am of course speaking of the King, Elvis Aaron Presley. 73 years ago today in East Tupelo Tennessee the world received its first great icon of Music.
Elvis is still one of the most influential, and best selling musicians of all time. His career encompasses 33 movies, inductions into 4 different halls of fame and 150 albums, singles and extended-plays that have gone gold, platinum or multi-platinum.
So join me one and all in singing a rousing chorus of “My Way” and remember to eat your fried peanut butter and bannana sandwiches.

I am 44 and my 18 year old niece really introduced me to Elvis, now I think it should have been the other way around. Shame he went and died when he did.
