Well ApacheCon Europe is looming close on the horizon and I am making last minute preperations for the trip.
Things are looking good, I have my presentation ready (minus a few edits of course) but I do need to get packing. This brings us to a rather uncomfortable subject for me, as I noted back in March with the wonderful addition to our family money is tight. So since we are down to the wire, I thought I would put out another call for people who might be willing to donate a buck or two. After my first announcement response was great and I am so thankful to all of you who have donated.
Unfortunately some money I was counting on hasn’t come in and doesn’t look too, I am finding myself in need of some more help. So internet, if you feel so inclined throw a dog a bone and help me eat while in Germany.
I cannot thank you enough, it was an amazing feeling to see people give like that. I love what I do and it was a great affirmation to have people say that they loved it too. For all of you who donated in the first round, I am hoping to have a little something special to give you all when I get back as a way to say thanks.
Well that is about it, I need to get some more work done and then go home and get some sleep… I haven’t been sleeping that well lately. I hope to post once more before I make the leap to Germany, so be well until then.
