Look below and know joy. It seems that Lucas Films has released the final art for the DVD version of the Original Trilogy plus a special DVD containing various extras and a Documentary.
Here it is:

I am really into this art. It seems nice and clean, very classic. I hope that they don’t screw up the movies anymore than they already have, but I am looking forward to the fourth disk that contains special features and a documentary. Here is the info that Lucas has released thus far: Follow the boucing ball.
That is it for now, back to no-bloggin Lent action.

*Ahem*
It should be noted that these are NOT the original trilogy. These are the 1997 Special Editions with a few more minor tweeks and such.
This will be a difficult buy for me … having already shelled out money on the true Original Trilogy many years ago and then later on the Special Editions, I’m having a hard time justifying these; especially since it’s been rumored that Lucas is planning on releasing the ‘Ultimate’ Editions once Episode III has been released.
These ‘Ultimate’ Editions will have even more extra/tacked on footage that wasn’t in the original.
At the same time, purists, such as myself, are praying that, if for no other reason than greed, Lucas will actually consent to putting the true Original Trilogy on DVD without all the 1997 editions.
Let’s get it straight people. Han shot first, ok?

*sighs*
Yes, I should have said Episodes IV, V and VI but I thought I would just say “original” as in not the newest trilogy. And I still stand by me headline, if for no other reason than because the first three movies made it onto DVD; that wasn’t always a reality.
