Simplicity

Knowledge is a process of piling up facts; wisdom lies in their simplification.

Welcome to the newest version of Sillyness, Optimal Optimus. Hopefully you get the reference. If not, you have my sympathy.

As the title suggests, I wanted to move back to a more simplistic design, with a focus on craftsmanship. If you didn't see the previous iteration, Optimus Primal, you might be wondering what in the world is simple about this design.

Trust me, compared to some of the more recent designs on SSWI, this is tame, and simple.

I wanted to put a focus on the writing again, and less on the whiz-bang and doodads.

Don't get me wrong, there will be plenty of whiz-bang as things progress with this design, but they will exist to enrich the experience of reading my prose, not distract from it.

And that's really the thing. I have the urge to write again, like I did in the early days of this site. Write about anything and everything. Silly, serious, life, development, design, horse racing... anything.

This return to writing feels like it comes at the right time in my life, as I'm hard at work at my new company Filmio where we are changing the way people tell their stories.

It only seems fit that I get back to telling mine.

I hope you enjoyed reading Simplicity
