New episodes of IT Crowd will begin airing this coming Februrary!

I was clued into a fallacy in this post by Ben, so it has been updated.
And while we are talking about the British Networks, when are you people going to get your head out of your collective arses, and stop restricting your web video of shows to only Brits. You know, some of us over here in the colonies would like to see that stuff too.
Anywhoo, if you are an IT Professional, you need to see this show by any means neccesary… I will leave those means up to you. Gotta run, I have to force an unexpected reboot on one of my machines.
Well I am back from my retreat; it was an experience to say the least. But as fun as that was it isn’t what I want to talk about right now.

So yeah, as the post name implies I just finished watching the Japanese release of Final Fantasy VII Advent Children and all I have to say is wow.
I feel robbed, robbed that I wasn’t able to watch this on the big screen. I won’t say it was everything I had hoped a FF7 movie would be, but it was close people, very close.
The story was very well written, in terms of being true to the characters we all know and love from the game, and the animation was wonderful, especially the fight scenes. The director didn’t shy away from very hectic action, which allowed for some very impressive sequences.
All in all, a must see for any FF7 fan, or for any fan of animation.
I was checking up on Michael this evening and found that he had posted a shot of his DVD collection via Delicious Library. I thought that he had a great idea so here is my partial library.
At this very moment my wife and I along with a handful of friends are watching the scrolling text of a Star Wars opening.
So ends the Saga of Anakin Skywalker, the Force and out of control marketing and merchandising.
I will share my thoughts later.
Hey look, its later.
I had intended to write something here about my experiences, but as always I have found that others have gone through the trouble, and with more skill than I could.
So here are some links to reviews that say everything I had wanted to:
Well that is enough for now I think. Other than to say that yes, it was a good movie, not a great movie but a good one; and that I am going to see it again, probably at least two more before its over.

My wife and I decided, many moons ago, to do away with our satellite. This decision was constructed with equal parts practicality and idealism.
Right, let me explain. We had been having the feeling, that as time passed, Heather and I were becoming slaves to the mind numbing box sitting in our living room. We weren’t talking to each other as much, and I wasn’t reading nearly enough. So in the back of my mind there had been this growing desire to just shut off the idiot box and talk to my wife again… to read more and maybe, just maybe GO OUTSIDE.

For bringing Hero to american theatres.
Last week Heather and I were fortunate enough to catch a viewing of Hero the latest offering from Director Zhang Yimou.
As always this movie was visually stunning, I relished the use of colour throughout and the slow, almost baleful shots that helped to infuse the viewer with a sense of the honor and sadness that shaped the life of each character and drove them to the extraordinary lengths seen throughout the story. Jet Li once again shines in the role of Nameless the Hero whose sacrifice alowed the Chinese nation to be galvanized producing the first Dynasty.
Unfortunately as with most imports the film was put through the ringer and what came out the otherside was not exactly Yimou’s vision. Many important scenes were cut, and the fight scenes themselves were edited to squeak by with a PG13 rating. The film weighs in at a light 1 hour 38 minutes because of this.

In the history of “guy” movies, there has been only one that could ever hope to claim the top spot as the very essence of what a guy movie should be, according to me of course. And that movie is one that centers around the story of an Italian Stallion, Rocky Balboa.
I have thought long and hard about what film could claim this distinctive honor and I must say it was truly a grueling task. In the annals of film history there have been many very good guy movies. Let’s take a look at the films that made my top 5:
Now lets look at each movie in a bit more detail, note: the IMdb ratings are rounded up for ease of HTML entity use.
