The Morning Geek Out

So I got to have one of those moments you just live for as a geek this morning at work.

I have a "liberated" iPhone, and one of my co-workers has a "liberated" iPod Touch. He was asking what apps I find useful and I of course answered the eReader app Books.

When my co-worker tried to install Books, it wasn't listed as available, so undaunted I fired up the terminal on my iPhone and SCPed the app to his iPod Touch.

You know you think that is cool. Admit it.

Yes indeed, you are the winner.

And yes, I am pretty sure you can SCP anything on your phone. All you have to do is find it in the terminal. I should write up some directions!

You should. If you write they will follow.
I'm still in the honeymoon period with the iPhone and have not "liberated" it, still uncertain if I should or not.
But having a list of how and why would be good.

    I admit it too...

May I get one from the offspring? Putting an iPhone and an iPod to breed using scp can only bring iPuppies. :)

I totally admit I think it's cool and it also makes me a wee bit jealous since I have yet to be able to acquire an iPhone!

    Hey Adam,

I think I might write up something that covers how to SCP between the iPhone and the iPod Touch.

    Should be fun.
