What’s your Power Level?

As a follow up to the DBZ post from yesterday, here is a nifty little formula for you to ascertain your power level.

1. What’s your weight?
2. What’s your age?
3. How much can you lift?
4. How tall are you in inches?
Now, add your weight, age, pounds you can lift and how tall you are in inches, together and divide by 50. There’s your Power Level. The normal Human is between 5-8. What’s yours?

Mine is 20.5

Ahh yeah

    hmm…mine is 12.22…interesting…

  2. personal avatar

you said the the normal is 5-8
    mine is 12.85

    Chris’ age:25
    Chris’ height: 74 “
    Chris’ weight 230-250
To find how much Chris can lift (by what means I’m not sure I used simple algebra where X is what can be lifted.
    (25+74+230+X)/50=20.5
    24+74+230+X=1025
    328+X=1025
    X=628

    What’s the manner of lifting?
PS love the chess club Idea, but to be a true nerd your power level should be around 5 : D

Mine would be I’m assuming weight lifted is bench press.
    (25+135+71+90)/50= POWER
    321/50=POWER
    6.42=POWER

  4. personal avatar

I have to admit, the directions seem a bit vague. How much you can lift … lift with your hands or are we talking bench press? Lifting with my hands I have a power level of 12.32. If I do a bench press, I have a power level of 10.42. Go figure.

  5. personal avatar

There are too many variables that go into it. I may be able to beat someone 6’ 4” 230 lbs and they can bench 180+ with one kick. you may want to specify weight lifting and add a speed/ endurance atribute as well.

  6. personal avatar

    I’m only 14 and m power level is 8.3
    Booya

  7. personal avatar

im 12 and my power level is 11.98
    ohh yeah:)

  8. personal avatar

look i don’t really believe in dis power level scale. even though i’m a saiyan my power level is at 8.64. but dat’s without the power of ki energy withit i would surpass many humans i would be at 504. i’m a saiyan human hybrid. well peace out.

  9. personal avatar

That’s not a good formula. Lets say your age was 100+ and you could lift maybe 5 pounds only and you were real fat and tall and couldn’t move around. That would give you a pretty high power level even thought you really had no strength and power.

  10. personal avatar

on another site when i am angry my power level is somewhere around 20

  11. personal avatar

    MY POWER LEVEL IS 300000!!!!!!!!

  12. personal avatar

lol before i got my power was like 52 and i was like nu uh then i found out that i had to divide it by fifty! And i divided it by five! I was like ooooh… but I’m not rele telling… EMBARRSING MUCH

  13. personal avatar

Hehehe my power level is 25.4, if a normal person is 5-8 then guess that makes me like a ss3 roughly

  14. personal avatar

technically my power level is 450 million in dbz terms

  15. personal avatar

The world’s strongest man Mariusz Pudzianowski has a power level 27 strange???????????

  16. personal avatar

I’m really fast and my power level is only 3.5. It’s not really fair because im really good at fighting so my opinion is that i don’t really believe this guy.

  17. personal avatar

none of you have reached human elite at level 30 and most certainly not super human elite at 60

  18. personal avatar

I think this power level thing is pretty acurate. but fat weak people shouldnt try this, its inacurate to them. I weigh 115lbs im 15 and only 5ft 1/4inch, and my power level is 8.5.

  19. personal avatar

i think the powerlevels that come up are pretty accurete but for some people(like me) when i’m angry it seems i’m twice or thrice as strong so my powerlevel that is 16.46 when i’m angry its 50 so i’m a super human alrright!!!!!!

  20. personal avatar

    mine is 10.44

  21. personal avatar

ive trained since i was five to fight.my pl is 21.2. my dads is 22.6 but i can and have totally destroyed him in fights. i dont get it.

  22. personal avatar

i am only 14 and my power level is 15.8

  23. personal avatar

Hmm… inaccurate, you will always have mongs saying stuff like oh look at me i’m a super saiyan and my power level is 30000000, and 12 year olds making out they can lift 300lbs (maybe they can but not bench press and they must be on steroids) weight and power arnt really linked unless you can use that weight with speed, height isn’t really a factor either, fat people as mentioned before have an advantage sinse its all about adding measurements that dont correlate to power. True fighting power is based on skill and speed so says me. have recently aquired me first dan in Ninjutsu and Jujitsu my power came out at 9.256 if weight lifting meant bench press, dead lift came out at 11.256, this idea off power being based on stature and strength is false, sorry DBZ fans but its all a childish cartoon based on distorted ideas from mainly japanese martial arts. p.s. you cannot put a number on your power, only your power into battle (among other things but this is about battle).

  24. personal avatar

I now have 4.3 40 speed and can bench 400 pounds and i’m 19. I most defintely am a human elite warrior. I also accel at martial arts. Train harder so you can become a detra elite. together we are the detra elite force. Strike a pose

  25. personal avatar

    mine is 1000000000000000000000000

  26. personal avatar

All i can say is that i have true Armenian strength. I am 17 years old and can bench 365, squat 495, and deadlift 550. I dont know about everyone else but i am purely natural-no steroids. All this at a weight of 203 pounds.

  27. personal avatar

I absolutly am enjoying all these comments from deranged 10 year olds that think they are DBZ characters… Well… I might just have to add my power level… About -10 last time I checked…

  28. personal avatar

my power level is 9.74…..only 15 i plan on increasing that

  29. personal avatar

my power level is beyond all of yours lol

  30. personal avatar

I just can’t take this anymore, it has been three years, and you people are still commenting.

Go outside, find a girlfriend, rent one.. I don’t care. Just leave me alone.

(I just had to close that comment :| It was way out off topic)

  32. personal avatar

im 7’2 120lbs and have a bench around 520 squat of 610 and dead lift about 150 and my power level is 2.86

I am curious of what you mean by “lift”. Lift as in Bench Press, Power Clean, Squat, Leg Press, etc…

I also feel that the formula has some flaws. As some one mentioned someone who is 100 years old, 75 inches tall, weigh 300 lbs, and could bench 100 lbs will have a greater power level than someone who is in good shape, yet only say 18 years old.

Cool idea of being able to figure your power level out by using a formula but incorrect. I feel muscular endurance, strength, and speed are the deciding factors. Lifting would go under strength. I am very strong, very fast, and I can do intense work outs for long periods of time.

For example: I know someone who can Bench Press 320 lbs, yet they can’t do a single push up, or pull up. That is the reason I feel Bench Press is an insufficient way of measuring strength. Overall strength can be determined by push ups, because push ups work your stomach, back, leg, and arm strength along with other parts.

Body Fat is an important factor when determining your well being. (I have 1% Body Fat)
Someone short would be at a disadvantage on here. Though in real ife someone short may actually be stronger overall.

For fun I put my information in your formula this is my result.

    Weight>140
    Height>72 inches
    Age>18
    Lift(Bench Press)>250 lbs

    Power Level: 9.60

*Yes I do weigh 140, but I have no body fat. I have a lot of lean muscle. I am very fit believe me. I was able to lift more than 5 times my body weight. I don’t puke, diet or anything like that. I train very intensly>push ups/sit ups/running/weight lifting.

    Cool idea though!

  34. personal avatar

thanks, this settled a potentially dangerous bar fight.

  35. personal avatar

ok to the kid with 1% body fat your gonna die soon because the human body needs about 3-5% fat to survive so do us all a favor and go to canada and freeze to death.

second. definition of lift - raise from a lower to a higher position
so that means even if you move it a inch off the ground its considered lifting it ( which makes about 700 lbs for me)

    third. ok according to the formula 367(weight) 19(age) 700(amount i can lift) 72(height in inches) / 50 = 128.6 repeating

  36. personal avatar

well i’m 8.7 and i’m only 15 so if i keep working hard i might be able to double my strength to about 19

  37. personal avatar

hey, i just want to mention something. it does not matter how strong you are, how tall you are, how much you weigh, or age. its 100% on skill(whether its jujitsu or kickboxing, which me and my brother spar in on occasion, more in juijitsu). my brother and me are both about 5’11”-6’, but are way diff on size(he’s 145 and im 245) and age(he’s 19 and im 23), and it doesnt matter, there are strenghts and weeknesses to both, he’s smaller in weight but faster and can get things in easier and he has an extremely long reach at 78”, while im only about 73 so he has an advantage on reach. on the other hand, i have alot more strenght so my punches are more powerful and could pick him up and and take him down with ease. we are about even, but since we are more jujitsu based, he has slight advantage with speed. id say he wins about 3/4 of the matches mainly with speed, im strong, but hes wierdly strong for his size. if i got down to the wieght i am more comfy with at about 200, i would be alot better on speed than i currently am, yet because im lighter, he could take me down easier. the only difference is the skill of the person tho. all these teens and 10 year olds and stuff that say “oh, i can lift like 300 lbs” one thing is- ya, sure. the other is i very doubt a ten year old that says his power level is like 15 or 20 could beat me or my bro. its purely on skill, there is some about age only because younger ppl havent fully grown and havnt trained enough, and weight doesnt really matter. eh, i know this was a long message, but i believe there are a lot of relevent things that i needed to put but there are probably ppl that are offended, dont care. just saying how it is.

  38. personal avatar

I totally agree with scott…I’ve been training in kenpo, Capoeira, and i mostly do martial arts tricking (And some hard body training). It takes skill and patients to win a fight.
Im a very big fan of DBZ and this isnt really a good way to express what your power lvl is. when I checked mine it said 10. some shit and i was like cool at least im not close to the “average” person…then i read the comments and i started to laugh because of other peoples “power levels” are at 20..50…100…so maybe if there is another way to test your “power level” it would be great…And another thing i might add is that i break bricks in tournaments and i wanna see these so called “Power level 20” kids to break at least 3 slots of bricks..

By the way i have some videos of me on youtube check me out:
