CJD Notepad: Version 1.5.5.2

Just a quick update for CJD Notepad.  You can find full notes on Notepads official home, there is one big addition and two smaller ones.

Why I love Open Source Software

Everyone give a big round of applause to http://economysizegeek.com/ for contributing the code to get the bookmarklets going.  Very much appreciated.

Go on and download it and be amazed!

Ok, the version numbers are getting a bit long. Perhaps code-names or shortening them might be in order? I will name this one for you - code-name: Long-version-number.

    Always the funny man, eh?

You are correct of course… but I kinda like the clumsiness of it all.

Great plugin. Though my whole wordpress is localized, I also made a localization for your plugin to german. Do you like to have a copy or should I put a trackback to your plugin on my site? If you do not want me to publish a localized version, just delete this comment and I will keep it just for my personal use. Have a nice weekend and hope to hear from you soon, Buenni

That is great Buenni, and please trackback this post and release the localization on your site.

I’ve been using CJD Notepad for about a week
and LOVE it. the only tiny comment I have
is that when I do a svae
(so I don’t lose stuff) to me the smart default
would be to come back in teh same note, but with a visual indcation
of when it was saved. this, rather than needing to
    re-enter the note.

but that’s a TINY teeny almost impossible to percieve
    “flaw-let”

Chris, my dearest and most brilliant one, WHERE THE HECK IS CJD NOTEPAD?

I’ve been getting a few questions from my review of this fantastic plugin. People can’t find it. You mention the new home but it takes the visitor to the front page of your blog. Oh oh!

Where did you put it, you bad boy? Hiding it again! ;-)

Thank you, kind sir! And don’t do that to me again. ;-)

Or at least let me know when you go changin’ things.

Hi, just found your Notepad plugin and love it! I also left a couple of notes/queries on your support forum about it, since I spotted a bug in the way it handles apostrophes when trying to convert the note to a draft.

Excellent plug! Feature wish: Add ability to allow sub-Editor (Author) to use the Notes feature.

    thank you!

Could you please check your script? It is indeed a cool addition to WP, but both on web frontend and admin pages it gives these errors twice:

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/dahaiyi/public_html/wp-admin/admin-functions.php on line 1358

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/dahaiyi/public_html/wp-admin/admin-functions.php on line 1358

anyway..nice plugin, hope it gets fixed very soon.

Could you tell me what version of WP and PHP you are using?

I’ve installed a spam nuker to help remove the flotsam that hangs about by merit of the wordpress treatment of spam. Next week, assuming I have time, I’ll probably go about installing something altogether more clever to tackle the problem - probably Bad Behavior as it addresses the identifiable behaviour of spammers rather than the spam itself. I’m still adverse to a captcha, although I know that has a quick win, mainly because I don’t like to discourage posters and I’m finding captcha’s are getting increasingly difficult to identify. [...]
