7 years ago today
At 6:30 pm Heather consented to be my wife.
The past seven years have been hard, glorious, funny and sorrowful. And I wouldn't trade them for anything in the world. I am a better, nicer more respectful person because of those years, and the world at least thanks you.
This year marks the first anniversary that involves more than you and I; this year we are three. Little Jakob Michael has added more joy to our life than any one person, let alone two, could ask for. And again this joy finds its beginning in you, and your willingness to risk death to bring life into the world.
All that I have, and all that I am today is because of your love, patience and self-sacrifice. I have run out of words to adequately express the depth of my thankfulness and love, so I leave you with the lyrics from a great old song:
"Every day's a new day in love with you
With each day comes a new way of loving you
Every time I kiss your lips my mind starts to wander
And if all my dreams come true
I'll be spending time with you""Oh, I love you more today than yesterday
But not as much as tomorrow
I love you more today than yesterday
But, darling, not as much as tomorrow"
Happy Anniversary Heather, I love you.
