Ahh... Freakdom pt. 2
UPDATE: I have spoken with representatives of the Federal government, and after waiting on hold for 45 minutes, I was told that the agency for which I was contacted to interview, has closed, meaning no more interviews for now.
Oh but you can call back next week and see if they have re-opened that specific location. Yeah okay, thanks.
And I almost forgot that today I will be losing my truck, my single most cherished non-living item, because we have to save money.
Just let me state for the record, I am not amused.
Well it has been two days since my teeth o wisdom were removed, and I still feel quite well.
The only adverse effects so far are that I am not able to eat most of the foods that I would like, and this irratating swelling.
And of course that really annoying proclivity to just pass out on the couch, due to the medication I am on. But anywhoo, I can see that the blogosphere has kept on turning in my absence, excellent.
Well it looks like there will be a promising and long overdue update on the job front. I have been attempting to get on staff in the IS department of a small liberal arts college that I attended, but that has been slow going.
So on a whim I applied for the baggage screener position that is open at Bluegrass International Airport. And for whatever reason, flying in the face of the fact that I have no security or screening experience I have been contacted for a second round interview.
Let's all hope that this pans out, if for no other reason than it is a government job, meaning short of shooting everyone I work with, there is no way I can loose it.
Gotta love this country.
