Alltel DSL - Stupid
A couple of weeks ago, I finally was able to make the call I had been waiting to make for nearly two years, the call to have ADSL enabled on my phone line.
Now flash forward 2 weeks to Friday the 13th. The big day, I should have my ATM modem, and all the pretty lights should be on and I should be actually writing this using this blazing fast connection.
Please notice the abundant use of should. I have just gotten off the phone with an Alltel representative, and now I have to wait until Monday to even get my modem, and the service won't be active until Wednesday by 5:00pm.
Apparently they screwed up the order, (No... really?) They are going to overnight me the modem, not by US mail which would get it here tomorrow, but by UPS which places it at Monday, and I still don't know why the service won't be active until Wed., I would much rather they continue to enable it today, and it just sit there idle until the modem arrives. Anyway, I do get a half months credit for my mental anguish.
Gee thanks Alltel, your swell.
