In Process
So I was talking to my friend, personal hero and font of inspiration, Khaled Abou Alfa tonight via the twitters, and he marveled at the amount of things I have going on at the moment.
It made me stop and really take stock of what I have in the hopper, and man it is kind of ridiculous. I am blessed/cursed with talent in a number of areas, and as such I feel obligated to do work in these areas from time to time to keep myself sharp.
Don't misunderstand
I don't fancy myself a genius in all of these areas, but it can't be denied that my natural abilities run in a multitude of areas. Some of these are extensions of a core skill or talent, like say design is an outgrowth from my very real talent as an artist.
Regardless of the amount, or the origin, I believe that it is my duty to refine these talents, no matter how humble they may be. Why else would I have them, if not to use them?
It also helps that even a failed attempt at creating something brings its own type of joy to my life, so no matter the outcome I feel better off than if I hadn't attempted something in the first place. So, now that we have the disclaimers out of the way, let's take a look at what I am actually working on right now.
And yes, I am actively working on all of these.
Art
- Juxtaposition, a Series — Some of you might not know that I am a classically trained artist, but I am! I focused on drawing, painting and sculpture at university. This series features hopefully striking juxtapositions of perceived truth, and actual truth, captured in oil. I am working on the first painting, Innocence now.
- Ancient Ikons, Fired. — This is a series of low base relief sculptures in clay. Focusing on the iconographic traditions of the Byzantine Church. I am currently working on The Annunciation Icon.
- UX Designer @Home — A web series about a UX Designer who can't seem to turn off at home. Watch her criticize her husband's sandwich making ability! Hopefully hilarity ensues.
Design
- Morning Cuppa — A Dribbble iOS app that focuses on color inspiration.
- The Tape — A Dribbble iOS app that focuses on your stats/info. Building it for my Intro to App Development for Designers course.
- The Pillars: Origins — A hybrid RTS tower defense game for XBox One.

Film/Video
- Found Noir — a web series that tells a Noir type story through found footage. The first episode is The Widow's Stone In Pre-production now.
- 3 Sheets — A talkshow format web series combining mass quantities of alcohol and hopefully fun conversations. Filming begins July 30th, 2105.
Music
- Dance, Electronic — My new album of Electronica under the band name Fiction 504. Coming to a streaming service near you.
- Blues, from Home — A new collection of more traditional music released under my own name. Smatterings of acoustic and electric blues/bluegrass. Trust me, it will make sense.
- Untitled R & B Project — I LOVE R & B. I am fairly funky and somehow had an infusion of soul in my past. Not sure what will happen with this, but laying down prep work, just in case.
Writing
- Found Noir — a web series that tells a Noir type story through found footage. The first episode is The Widow's Stone In Pre-production now.

- The Pillars of Creation: Foundation — a pulp scifi novel set in the 30's.
You know looking at it all listed out like this, I might have a problem.
