Just can't win for losing
As I was about to begin the process of crafting my first entry for Project 52, I suffered a botched upgrade of the software that powers Sillyness.
I had grand plans to knock out a new theme for 2010, complete with custom illustrations for each post, but that didn't happen either, because of the afore mentioned upgrade snafu. In one of those moments that can only be viewed as a gift from the universe, I realized that the complete collapse of my plans was a very good thing.
I really need to start off 2010 with a different mind-set. My normal approach to life is to plan, plan and then make some backup contingency plans in case my first two plans fail. Yesterdays snafu helped illustrate the fact that the universe laughs at man and his plans.
So here I am, not prepared and not dressed for an evening out; don't look too closely or you will see the mustard stain on my shirt and the ragged edges to my jeans. Life isn't perfect and I guess at the end of the day, that is okay. In fact it is glorious.
Here's to 2010, the year I learned to stop planning so much, and just enjoy the ride.
