Mr. Hibbity Gibbity

Mr. Hibbity Gibbity

I have been meaning to post about this for a pretty long time, but for many reasons I have not felt comfortable trusting my words until now.

Friends, best and lost

Lo many moons ago there were many authors posting here on Sillyness, one of them my best friend Mr. Hibbity Gibbity.  Back some months ago things between us went horribly wrong, so wrong that we are now no longer speaking, and much bad blood and harsh words were passed between us.

I see now in retrospect that our friendship had been spiraling away from the lofty heights of college for sometime, it was as he has said innevitable as we have grown into very different people, with very different expectations and priorities.  As I said the downward spiral could not have been helped, but the nature of its turn could have been.  It is a tragic loss for me, but one that I have learned something valuable from, unfortunately it was too late to save our friendship.  Namely that despite my outlook or feelings on something, in this case frequency of contact, I should go a bit more out of my way to accomodate the feelings of the other person in the realtionship if it means as much to them as it did to him.

Getting to the point

I have been meaning to post here the location of Mr. Hibbity's new weblog, just in case any of his readers had not found him at blogspot and made the move.  I have been keeping tabs on him through his site since I found it, and today I read two very moving posts, very insightful and troubling at the same time, knowing the gravity of his words.

That being said I thought that now was an appropriate time for me to break my silence on this, and point the last of his readers to him, since I think it would be good for him to hear from you now, to hear words of support and encouragement.

That's about it on that I think.
