No I didn't sell out...
But I know that to some of you out there the inclusion of the banner ad signals this.
The fact of the matter is that I am soon to be an iUniverse author. And if that were the only reason I had for including one stinking banner then I feel justified, but the fact of the matter is that there are numerous reasons for including the banner.
For starters I think that iUniverse is one of the best executions of the Print on Demand Model to date. It allows those of us who don't have the luxury of agents and a publicity machine to actually have our work printed with an eye to detail and quality and then have that work offered to the world.
Secondly I don't think that it should be a problem for a person to want to make some bank from his endeavours, for me namely this website. So I have decided on this experiment; if I don't like the way it goes then I will take it down, maybe put it in the footer or something.
But for now I like where it is, and feel like I am doing a service to those people out there who would love to have a novel or technical manual printed, but never knew there was a way.
And I only make money if someone either submits through iUniverse, or if they purchase a book from iUniverse.
