Today I was perusing the message boards over at the Terry Brooks Message Boards, and they had created a thread dealing with who would win in a batle between Allanon and Walker Boh(two characters from the Shannara Universe) and Gandalf(no mention of Grey or White, from the Tolkien Universe). I find this sort of thing just silly. There is no real way to compare these characters in any meaningful way. They are predicated on two entirely different assumptions. In the world of Tolkien, Gandalf is an almost god, whereas the Druids Allanon and Walker Boh are merely men.

It is intersting that this sort of thing happens often. This need we have as fans to say whos best and whos worst. Sillyness.
